All things inside the room are almost the same in all hotels. This is a standard practice in the industry as they compete for travelers and tourists. These appliances are present no matter what hotel you stay in whatever part of the world. The most common amenity is the television set which nowadays is remote controlled and is fed via satellite. The other is the good old fashioned landline phone.
