The Book Bag Project Essential Information

Education is very important for people in improving their lives or achieving their goals such as getting a good source of income. Educational tools are necessary for these to happen specially when they attend schools to get educated. Some areas have impoverished citizens that have a hard time providing their kids some school materials that they needed.

Some companies or organizations donate these materials to schools they have chosen as recipients to help those students there. These are usually known as the book bag project where books and school supplies are given with a bag. This makes it for the recipients easier because those they received have somewhere to be placed in.

These bags contain supplies usually such as notebooks, rulers, paper, pencils, scissors, crayons, glue, colored pencils and erasers. If you like to help them then find an organization where you could donate these materials or the finances to buy them. Or making one yourself is another possibility together with volunteers from the local community.

Start by talking with your friends and relatives about this project and invite those who wants to volunteer with you. Let them invite others and continue doing so yourself with your neighbors or anyone else you know. If you have a good amount of people in your organization, then you can start organizing things for better flow.

Develop the vision defining the inspiration and the aspirations of what are the ones you want to create and achieve. Next, develop your mission which is the concise and clear description of the purposes that the organization have. This should come together with measurable, specific, challenging and achievable goals such as school supplies donation.

A name should be thought of that describes the functions of the group best or based it on person who is the inspiration of creating this project in the first place. This will help to encourage others into donating for your cause. Your charity must be differentiated from similar others so it could still be noticed even among them.

Write your plan down so you would know the steps in achieving your goal of donating school supplies to students who need them. Start by identifying the school where you will give the donations you will be collecting from volunteers and other donors. Then list down what these donations would be and if you prefer it to be financial or in kind.

Register so you can be allowed in operating as nonprofit organization and having tax exemption that helps to maximize your funds better. Do this with lawyers and accountants that could help you who experienced in registering nonprofit groups before. They will advise you regarding the proper steps to register and operate so government rules will not be broken.

Create a website which helps in spreading awareness to people about your plans and as a place for them to contact you and send donations. Then you can start raising funds to achieve your goals and partner with established foundations, individuals and organizations for help. Expect many meetings to happen before fully realizing your goal to donate school supplies collected by your group.
